The Director’s Story

Years ago, I lost both of my parents during an inter-tribal conflict in South Sudan while we were staying there. After their death, I spent about three months in a camp, where the situation was difficult, and I often went without food. Due to these hardships, I left the camp and spent three years living on the streets.

During my time on the streets, I met a kind-hearted woman who took me in and provided me with care and education until I could start working. Witnessing the plight of other children on the streets, I was moved to start a charity to help them.

With the help of the woman, we registered the charity with the government, and we began operating it together. Sadly, she passed away a year after we started the charity, leaving me with the children we were helping.

I am determined to continue the work that we began, and I invite others to join me in helping these vulnerable children have a brighter future.
